25th-27th of March 2026
The first edition of CHAU’MUN took place from 10th to 12th of April 2024. It gathered 72 students from different European countries such as France, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Czechia, but also from Taïwan and Mexico. The students debated in two committees : UNICEF (French-speaking) and UNESCO (English-speaking).
French-speaking committee : UNICEF
During the 2024 session of CHAU’MUN, the French-speaking committee dealt with the consumption in a more sustainable way and took place in a room of the townhall. A particularly well decorated room which served to give a formal dimension to the debate.
English-speaking committee : UNESCO
Meanwhile happened the UNESCO English-speaking conference with students from Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Azerbaïdjan, Germany and Taïwan. It took place in l’atelier Canopé and dealt with the access to education for girls in the world.
Cultural activities
Le Signe, national center of graphic design in Chaumont, opened its door for us the time of a visit so that the students could enjoy its collection of posters as well as a japanese collection of cups.
The "hotel courses" section of the Denis Diderot highschool in Langres, and their exceptional meal allowing students from different countries to gather and share this moment of pleasure.

The second edition of CHAU’MUN happened from 19th to 21th of March 2025. It gathered 142 students from 10 different countries. The students debated in five committees : UNDRR (English-speaking), UNHDR (English-speaking), UNSC (English-speaking), C40 (English-speaking), CSNU (French-speaking).
English-speaking conference : UNDRR
In the room of the city council, an English-speaking conference took place and dealt with disaster risk reduction, especially how to mitigate the negative impact of rising sea levels on infrastructures and human lives.
English-speaking conference : UNHCR
Alongside held the high commissioner for refugees, where the coming displacement of people was at the heart of the topic. This room, proposed by Canopé, came under our best scenography.
English-speaking conference : UNSC
In l’atelier Canopé, debated some delegates around international cooperation and conflict resolution, organised as a security council would be.
English-speaking conference : C40
From an original idea, also held a C40 committee, gathering some of the 40 most influential cities in the world. Debating as a city and not as a country was as complex as culturally enriching for the delegates.
Conférence francophone : CSNU
The favorite for some, the French-speaking committee also settled among our five committees. The forty students who participated as a security council would too. As not reserved for delegates coming from French-speaking countries, three Hungarians joined the debates.
English-speaking general assembly
On the last day, every delegate who debated in English was gathered together to commonly debate. They were faced with a high stakes : the submersion of islands in the Pacific Ocean.
Cultural activities
The city of Chaumont kindly gave us a tour. Our partnership permitted a hundred of student to visit the historical center and learn a lot concerning the city.
Le Signe (national center of graphic design) once again opened its doors for us. The English and French-speaking visits were not lacking, where we saw post-impressionism.
The "hotel courses" section of Denis Diderot highschool once more prepared a lunch aperitif to delight everyone's taste buds. This moment invites every delegate, but also each person having an interest at some point in CHAU’MUN activity.
Far away from the formal nature of the event, the MUN Party was held the night before the last day. Starring the music group of Chaumont F2B, they played us some of their best pieces, before moving on to the party.
